About the artist

Journey

I’m a self-taught Norwegian painter based in London. I've been painting for a couple of years and enjoy working primarily with abstract paintings. I create paintings that invite open interpretation, allowing each viewer to discover their own meaning, which often reveals perspectives far beyond my original intent.

Inspiration and style

Often, when I’m asked what I was picturing while painting, it’s rarely a specific or tangible place. I’m fascinated by the way colours harmonise and clash, and by how texture can intensify and draw out specific tones. I’m particularly drawn to blue, perhaps because of my deep fascination with — and equal fear of — the ocean.

See what you feel

I hope viewers see whatever speaks to them personally, without feeling guided toward a single interpretation. There is no right or wrong way to interpret a painting.
